ASI Candidates for President
My platform points are: mental health awareness, sexual assault prevention, improvements to on-campus parking, and also the addition of healthy food options. These are points that are important not only to me, but to many other students that I spoke to. I am an open-minded person and look forward to hearing what other important points resonate with students. I encourage you to contact me via phone if you wish to talk to me about other problems on campus. A reason I would be a great President is my extensive experience and involvement in the Fresno State community. I’ve held many positions, including being the President of IFC, which oversaw over 500 people. Another organization I led received several national awards for the organizational plan I set forth. I plan to bring the same drive and ambition to ASI and ensure success for our current students and future Bulldogs. Slate: The Miracle Workers
My name is Carter Nash Pope II and I am running for ASI student president. I have experience running an organization in both the private and public sector. Through this experience I have learned not only how to lead, but also how valuable those who I lead are.
The characteristics that best describe me are optimistic, a problem solver, and a workaholic. As an optimistic, I have the ability to find the good in all situations. As a problem solver, I quickly find what can be done better. As a workaholic, I never stop giving it my all. #Vote4Pope Slate: People for Change
My name is Demi Wack, and I am running for ASI President. I am currently a student at Fresno state studying Psychology and Criminology. Alongside my studies, I serve as the ASI Vice President of External Affairs and participate in many other organizations around campus, including the Kappa Alpha Theta Fraternity, the Phi Alpha Delta Pre-law Fraternity, and the Smittcamp Honors College. As President, I want to create an atmosphere of openness that will encourage students to feel comfortable vocalizing their individual and collective concerns. If elected, I will work to protect and expand the rights of every member of our celebrated college community. Above all, I hope to help foster the development of a positive school environment while making tangible and concrete changes to strengthen each student’s success. Thank you for taking the time to consider my candidacy! Please reach out to me with any questions you may have. Slate: all4students
Sebastian K Wenthe
My goal ever since I became involved with student government has never changed- to be a voice for the students with the quietest voices and to make improvements to the quality of our education. Whether it was during my time as ASI Senator for Clubs and Organizations or while serving as President of the Mock Trial Club and the Moot Court Club, helping Bulldogs has always been my number one priority. When elected President, I look forward to tackling issues regarding parking, limited study spaces, and the lack of healthy food options on campus. In addition, I will fight non- essential tuition increases that don’t serve the interests of the students. I choose to put my faith in the amazing talent that I find on our campus every day. We are all students, we are all dreamers, and most importantly, we are all Fresno State bulldogs. Let’s do this together. Slate: Bulldogs United
ASI Vice President of Finance Candidates
Davis M Ward
With existing experience in the ASI Finance Committee and my major in Economics, I will strive to improve the use of student funds throughout ASI. It is my goal that by the end of my term, students throughout Fresno State, regardless of their major, will see tangible benefits from ASI, whether it be free Bluebooks and Scantrons, or coffee and a snack to start their day. Together, we can have a better tomorrow.
Hello fellow students! My name is Ben Warmerdam and I am running for the Executive Vice President of Finance position for this upcoming school year. I am currently a junior and have decided that I would like to spend my last year at Fresno State making a difference in the campus that has provided a start to my young career. I have served in several treasurer positions for different clubs and organizations on campus and am pursuing a degree in finance, a perfect background for this position. As the founder and past president of the Fresno State Chess Club, I understand the difficulty in acquiring financial assistance for organizations here on campus. This will be at the top of my list as I make an effort to improve upon this process, and others, that helps clubs grow into the organizations they hope to become. Slate: all4students
ASI Vice President of External Affairs Candidates
Ryan Cherry
My name is Ryan Cherry. I am finishing up my third year here at Fresno State. I am a Business Management Major with an emphasis in International Business. I am running for the position of Vice President of External Affairs. Should I win this position my goal for the term is to make the position more transparent and more public. The students of Fresno State will know exactly who the people on ASI are and exactly what we do. There are four points that I will focus on concerning the student body. These are: mental health awareness, sexual assault prevention, parking improvements, and adding healthy food options on campus. Each of these are issues that I am personally passionate about and I am confident that after a term I will have addressed these concerns for the students and made student life more enjoyable. Giving back to my hometown is extremely important to me, especially because of the sense of community I have found at Fresno State. I am running for Vice President of External Affairs because I would like to advocate for Fresno State students at the state and national level. Working with other CSUs and community colleges in the Valley to keep CSU Fresno accessible and affordable will be my top priority. I have two years of experience in student government, as well as a year of experience serving as president of both the Debate Club and MEChA. As a student representative, I will make sure that I reach out to students and listen to their concerns. Slate: all4students

College is an exciting time in our lives and I hope to foster a safe and diverse community that allows students to enjoy all that college has to offer. Slate: Bulldogs United

My name is Diamond Morehead. I am from Ohio and my current major is International Business. I am passionate about equality and the understanding of all individuals.
