I am passionate about student rights and keeping our campus safe. It would give me much pleasure to be a part of a larger team, at Fresno State, working to improve our campus. I want everyone to have a memorable and safe experience while here on campus. I am currently the ASI Senator for Veterans and Transfer Affairs, as well as the Vice President for the Student Veterans Organization. I am a graduate of the Veterans Education Program. My goals as Senator are to make Fresno State more accessible to Veterans and Transfer students. I know the trials and tribulations faced by both populations, and I want to minimize them. This is your home, and you should feel welcome, included, and appreciated. I hope to connect students with everything Fresno State has to offer so nobody misses an opportunity. Slate: Bulldogs United

Through this fellowship, I received high profile training in engaging groups in public participation, communications, and strategic planning—all skills I plan to practice in office if elected. Thank you in advance for your consideration of me as Senator, At-Large! Slate: Bulldogs United
Holley A Estep: My name is Holley Estep and I am currently a sophomore majoring in pre-athletic training. I am very interested in sports and connecting all students together and create unity at Fresno State. I hope to accomplish bringing what students have to say to attention and not cast aside even if I do not agree with their opinion and/or concern. I also would like to call attention sports that are not as well known, such as tennis, lacrosse, swim, softball, etc; and let the student body know when games are so Fresno State can support our athletes. I would send out weekly emails letting the student body know of all games and events going on the next week. We would still highlight the events highlighted currently and add in more events. This would allow for all groups to come together and create more unity through the clubs and organizations.
Gina V Gutierrez: My name Is Gina Gutierrez, I am a first generation college student in my junior year. My Major is Political Science. I am a mother, student, friend, activist. I am hoping to get the opportunity to work with minority students and students with disabilities on campus. I come from a diverse background with an array of experiences. I identify as part of many minority groups. I want to use my position in ASI to advocate for students on and off campus and help bridge the gap between minority groups, students with disabilities and students with mental health issues. Slate: People for Change
Bryce Johnson: My name is Bryce Johnson and I am running for Senator at Large for Parking and Safety. My goal if elected is to help the student body feel more safe and secure on campus. I will work with my fellow peers to communicate our wants and needs to the board so we can address the problems that need our urgent attention. I want to bring awareness to the safe paths available to student when traveling at night as well as the locations of the emergency phones that connect you directly to a dispatcher during an emergency. I want to hear the needs of our students when it comes to parking on campus and work with the board and fellow ASI members to come up with a solution. If elected I will do my best to fulfill these goals. Slate: The Miracle Workers
Elias J Karam: Hello fellow Bulldogs! My name is Elias Karam, I am a junior electrical engineering major, and I am running for a Senator-at- Large position this year. I’m the current Senator for the Lyles College of Engineering, so I have been actively involved in student government already. I hope to continue my service to you, the students, by running for ASI again. Academics are the most important aspect of college to me, so that is why I hope to specifically be the Senator of Undergraduate and Graduate Academic Affairs. I want to ensure that all students have the most resources available to them as possible, whether it be research, basic needs, advising, or anything else they deem important. I believe that my previous experience in ASI and my passion for academics and learning will prepare me well for this position. Thank you, and Go Dogs!
Federico Madera: The voice of the people is my voice. I am a pre-business major student here at Fresno State. I come from a small town out in the central valley named Huron, CA. Although it’s a small town, it is filled with potential to grow. Coming from a small town has and will continue to motivate me as well as continue to give back to my community. I am a very understanding person that looks to help anyone who needs it. If elected as the Senator at Large, I will carry out my statement that ties in with my mission “Two cultures one person”. This statement symbolizes the true Diversity of Fresno State and it goes out to our students that will make a difference in our college community as well as outside in the general public.
Amber K Malhi: As a previous member of the ASI senate, I had the privilege of being the Senator of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. I was the first person to take this position during my first year in ASI, and I worked on creating and strengthening relationships that may have been lost in the past and tried my very best to make every student feel welcomed on Fresno State’s campus. I have worked with CCGC and International students thus far and have also been involved in the search for a Title 9 coordinator and examining the diversity of our student and faculty population. I have worked to create a base for the position of Senator of Diversity but feel that much more remains to be done, and many relationships are still left to be built. I hope to achieve the goal of having a base set for diversity in the term.
Madison S Milliorn: Hey Bulldogs! My name is Madison Milliorn and I am a third year student majoring in Political Science. I am actively involved on campus as a collegiate member of Phi Mu Sorority and as Vice President of Programs on the Fresno State Panhellenic Executive Board. As a Fresno native, the future of our community has always been extremely important to me. Fresno State has provided me so many incredible opportunities and I hope to provide even more opportunities to our Bulldog family. As the university culture is changing throughout our nation, I want to bring your concerns and wants into fruition. The topics of mental health awareness, sexual assault prevention, and the addition of healthier food options need to be more prevalent on our campus. As college students, we are the future of our community; help me “Build Fresno’s Future.” Thank you for your consideration and GO DOGS! Slate: The Miracle Workers
Sarid A Morales: As a senator for the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion committee, I hope to accomplish the change people need in order to be educated on different factors that can make people feel discriminated against. I want to provide any support and assistance I can in order to make everyone feel included and loved regardless of their ethnicity, sex, socioeconomic status or other factors. I am a highly involved individual who always stands up against discrimination. I have always been extremely interested in raising awareness of issues that come up based on the factors previously stated. I am an immigrant born and raised in Mexico making me experienced on sensitive topics that arise from not being educated on the differences in people. I want to use my knowledge, personal experience, and compassion towards others to make students feel supported as I have felt from people who have done the same for me.
Ruby Muniz: Hey Bulldogs! My name is Ruby Muniz, and I am running to become your ASI Senator at Large. I am pursuing my undergraduate degree in Political Science and Communications. I currently serve on the ASI Legislative Committee. It has been my pleasure to have been able to get this experience so early on and meet such awesome people. I have served my student body in Associated Student Inc. since the day I stepped on the best campus. Woo Go Dogs! I have worked on various projects by being on the legislative committee. Through my experience, I am confident that my influence will continue to encourage our proud tradition of involvement and best student representation at our university. My willingness to volunteer my time and effort, as well as express my opinions will bring positive changes and will enhance students’ experiences at Fresno state. Slate: Bulldogs United
Ramon Jimenez Ortega: Hi, I am running for a Senator at large position. I am a third year PLSI and ENGL major with a great interest in making sure that we as CSU students can have a quality education. I run SQE, am the current M.O.L.E. president, and have been co-chair of M.E.Ch.A; through these and other organizations I have been part of organizing events relating to undocumented students, stopping tuition from increasing, and food insecurity at Fresno State and other CSUs. As a student at large I have spoken before the State Senate in support of Undocumented Students, assisted in convincing Fresno’s local BOT member to vote against a tuition increase, and with SQE conducted research surveys about CSU student struggles in paying tuition and food insecurity. If elected, I will be able to help ensure a quality education for all Fresno State students. Slate: People for Change
Evangelia M Pappas: My name is Evangelia Pappas. I am a theatre arts major and am currently the ASI senator for the College of Arts and Humanities. I am a sophomore at Fresno State and have been passionate about getting the students voices heard on campus. I am a part of Phi Mu Fraternity and would love to see more of the Greek Community presence on campus. I want to see more funding be distributed to not only Greek life, but to other clubs/organizations. I want to find a better strategy to advertise Greek life and Fresno State as a whole. Some of my biggest concerns are not administering to every student need, but I want to make my presence more well known. Also, i want to implement having meetings with individuals or groups of students to hear their concerns or anything they would find beneficial for their fellow students.
Cam Patterson: I currently serve as the ASI Vice President of Finance. During my time in ASI we have been able to establish grants for student success, provide feminine products to students here on campus, and make Fresno State feel like a place where all things are possible. We all do better when we work together. We didn’t come to Fresno State to fear the future; we came here to shape it. Let us work together to make mental health a priority, protect our dreamers, and provide every single student with the tools they need to succeed. Let us transform campus into a place where we can express our ideas freely without fear of retribution. Let’s redefine how student government can truly be for you and by you. Your voice matters to me. You matter to me. Let’s succeed together!
Beverly Perez-Alvarez: Commuting every day from Visalia to Fresno is a hassle. What is worse is that after the hour-long drive, I’m not guaranteed a parking spot in the same location I park at every day. When I get elected as Senator-at-Large for Parking & Safety, I will make ending a parking spot a stress-free experience for students. I will work with faculty to impose funds for a possible parking structure that can be located at the empty lot by the Save Mart Center. These funds can be extracted from the costly parking pass that students have to buy every year or semester. The experience that qualifies me for this position is that I am a daily commuter. Because parking is very limited, many students arrive early but either way, they end up being late for their first class of the day. College should be difficult, looking for a parking spot shouldn’t be.
Hisham A Qutob: Hi, my name is Hisham Ayman Qutob, and I’m running for ASI Senator of Diversity. I am currently a freshman majoring in Business with the option of Finance as well as double minoring in Political Science and Philosophy. I am a huge soccer fan, player, and enthusiast. This has allowed me to meet many people from around the world as soccer is a global language. Aside from soccer, I am fluent in Arabic and French and currently taking Spanish lessons. I love to travel and meet different people and learn about different cultures! I hope on establishing a more diverse campus, where all our great culture and ethnic clubs can interact with one another. I hope to allow every single student to learn something new about a different culture before graduating from our great school! After all, as Bulldogs, we stand for Discovery, Diversity, and Distinction!
Christopher RB Rodriguez: My name is Christopher Rodriguez and I am a fourth year Vocal Performance major. I am a brother of Lambda Chi Alpha and an avid performer around the valley. Although I was raised in Bakersfield, Fresno has been my home for the last four years and I’ll always be grateful for being taken in so kindly. Being apart of this community I’ve seen so many great things happen in the past few years thanks to the leaders around us and I want to be able to continue on this upward slope. With changing dynamics in Universities around the country, we need to turn our attentions to sexual assault awareness, mental health awareness and healthier food options on campus. Help me to “Build Fresno’s Future” and continue on as the next generation of leaders. Slate: The Miracle Workers
Baltripat Singh: Hello, fellow Bulldogs! My name is Baltripat Singh, and I am running for Senator at large, representing you all. I love hiking up in Yosemite and Sequoia/ Kings Canyon National Park. This is my third year at Fresno State, and I am amazed at the diversity this university holds. To keep diversity at its heart, I will work towards solving issues of inequalities based on race, gender, sexuality. When all students feel inclusive, is when we can produce a thriving group of professionals. The second issue that is close to my heart and recently in all of our forefronts is the safety at educational institutions. I will work hard to make it safe for students to report concerns and issues that if left untreated lead to unsafe situations. Together let’s make Fresno State a place where everyone feels they belong!
Chloe K Vanderzwaag: Hello fellow bulldogs, my name is Chloe Vanderzwaag and I am running for ASI Senator at Large. I am pursuing a degree in Business Management with an emphasis on Marketing. I believe that every bulldog has a voice to be heard, and that voice has the power to transform the Fresno State community. Being a Junior here at State has opened my eyes to the various ways that any student on this campus can impact this university. No idea is too small to make a difference. I hope to communicate the thoughts and ideas of all students, campus clubs, and organizations to ensure that every individual has the opportunity to be heard. This position opens an opportunity to serve my peers and further enhance Fresno State’s national prestige. Together with your innovative ideas and my commitment to you, WE will make a difference. I look forward to serving YOU.
Elizabeth Rocha Zuniga: It would be of immense honor to serve as your Senator. I will take your input and with the best of my ability, transform it into reality. Our campus needs modification and I am ready to take action toward what must be done to make our campus triumph. My past leadership roles have prepared me for this position and I am ready. I am responsible, determined and committed in making our campus flourish. I will initiate more school spirit, various community service opportunities, better facilities, and inclusion toward everyone on campus. A few concerns that we are facing is the tuition rising, classroom facilities failing, and innovating a campus that is eco-friendly. In order to address these issues we must bring them to the attention of our representatives and the Board of Trustees. Thus, I aspire to overcome these concerns as your Senator. Thank you.
