Fresno State hosts No. 21 Nebraska for its 2014 home opener on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. The game is being televised on the CBS Sports Network, and fans can also listen to the game on the official home of the Fresno State Bulldogs, 940 AM ESPN radio.
This will be only the second-ever meeting between the Bulldogs and Huskers, who met back in 2011 with Nebraska winning 42-29 in Lincoln. Fresno State’s 13-game home winning streak is the second-longest active streak in the entire Football Bowl Subdivision, trailing only Northern Illinois’ 27-game home winning streak.
Saturday’s contest is Fresno State’s first night game of the season and the Bulldogs have a perfect 13-0 record in night games (ones that start after 6 p.m.) over the last two seasons this game will be Fresno State’s second against a ranked opponent this season, as the `Dogs open up the year as one of just nine teams from the Group of Five to face three or more Power Five programs in non-conference play. The Bulldogs are looking to end a 17-game losing streak to top 25 teams, this game will be Fresno State’s 11th against a Big Ten program and the third against the conference played in Bulldog Stadium.
