Hey everyone! The deadline for the mandatory Haven Understanding Sexual Assault Student Training is March 20th, which is right around the corner. Unfortunately, the deadline has passed for students to win priority registration for the Fall 2015 Semester. This opportunity was available to students who finished the training before last Friday, February 28th.
Fresno State is committed to providing a supportive learning environment and fostering safe, healthy relationships among our students. As such, the institution and members of our community will not tolerate the offenses of dating violence, domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking. This program is intended to help you learn more about these issues, as you play an important role in keeping our campus safe.
Before you begin Haven, you are encouraged to review the CSU systemwide policy below that prohibits discrimination, harassment, including sexual violence, and retaliation of Fresno State students in our programs and activities. Which can be viewed here, http://www.calstate.edu/eo/EO-1097.html .
If you have any questions about school policies, procedures, or support resources related to dating violence, domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking, please contact Jan Parten, Fresno State’s Title IX Coordinator at 278-2364 or jparten@csufresno.edu.
Finally, the University is aware that the content of this module contains questions and situations of a sensitive nature. Please know that there are places on campus where you can go to confidentially discuss your concerns. The Women’s Resource Center (559.278.4435) and Counseling Services (559.278.6738) are both available on a walk-in basis. For off campus organizations where you can seek assistance or advice, please refer to Fresno State’s Title IX website, located at www.fresnostate.edu/titleix/students.
We cannot underscore how important this training is, and that it must be completed before the March 20th deadline. You can get started on the 45 minute training module if you haven’t yet by clicking here.
If you experience any problems accessing any portions of the online training due to incompatibility with assistive technology or if you need the information provided in an alternative format, please proceed to the Haven Student Training – Alternate Format webpage.
If you do not complete the training, you will not be allowed to register for fall 2015 classes.
