Dear Campus Community:
Fresno State continues to prioritize our commitment to ongoing education and training in advance of a crisis. Six months ago, in collaboration with the CSU System, the Chiefs’ of Police came together to create a concept of a short training video intended to be viewed by all faculty, staff and students. This video represents the key responses you must plan for in advance of an active-shooter situation.
Recently, our nation experienced another senseless act of violence in Parkland, Florida at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. This incident further reinforces why we are so committed to education and training in our community. Please take nine minutes to watch this important video.
If you are interested in additional training, Seconds 2 Survive is a 90-minute course designed to help individuals plan, prepare, practice and perform so that they are empowered to make life-saving decisions in the critical first seconds of an emergency. To schedule training for your department, contact Amy Luna at amyluna@csufresno.edu
