The Fresno State women’s tennis team was announced as the number one seed of the 2014 Mountain West Championships by the conference on Monday, while the Fresno State men’s tennis team was declared as the number five seed.
The Bulldog women will open tournament play in the quarterfinals on Friday at 10 a.m., where they will face either number eight seed, UNLV, or number nine seed, Air Force. The Fresno State men’s team will face the number four seed, Nevada, in the quarterfinals on Thursday at 10 a.m.
Fresno State is the host for the 2014 MW Tennis Championship that will be held April 23 through April 27 at the Sierra Sport & Racquet Club in Fresno, Calif. First-round action begins on Wednesday, April 23 at 10 a.m. PT. The women’s championship match will take place on Sunday, April 27 at 10 a.m. PT and the men’s championship game will follow directly afterwards at 1 p.m.
