Giving during the holiday season can be encouraged through singing. That’s the hope at least for Associated Students, Inc. (ASI). Thursday, Dec. 13 at 2:30 p.m., students and ASI members will be caroling for cans.
“Caroling for Cans helps so many families that need that extra food to be able to eat every day,” said Oscar Perez, senator of student affairs for ASI. “I love this event because it brings together the true message of what the holiday season is all about: love, humanity, and prosperity.”
During Caroling for Cans, students will be on campus and be walking to different departments caroling and asking for canned food donations. These cans will be donated to the Bulldog Pantry.
“Caroling for Cans is a great event for students to connect with faculty members during the holidays,” said Melissa Ellisa, Americorp VIP. “This event allows for these relationships to foster, while doing something good for the community around Fresno State.”
This is the third year ASI has hosted Caroling for Cans. For more information, please contact Oscar Perez at oscarperez.asi@gmail.com.
