The 38th annual Take Back the Night program, a worldwide movement designed to raise awareness of domestic and sexual violence, is back at Fresno State.
Hosted by the Cross Cultural and Gender Center and Fresno State’s Women Alliance, Take Back the Night is an event for Fresno State faculty, staff and students to raise awareness of the harms of sexual assault and violence, especially as it relates to domestic partnerships and those affected by sexual abuse.
The mission Take Back the Night is to put a stop to sexual violence and rape, while empowering survivors and supporting safe, consensual relationships.
The event is on Tuesday, October 24 at the Speaker’s Platform next to the library. The tabling fair will begin at 5 p.m. until formal programming at 6 p.m. The event will hold a march for victims and an open mic segment for victims to voice their stories.
