Bulldog Pantry Food distribution – Volunteers needed!
The Bulldog Pantry Is looking for volunteers for their Food Distribution event on Nov 13, 2021from 8 a.m. – 1 p.m.
This event is Partnered with the Richter Center in honor of World Kindness Day.
The Bulldog Pantry is located at 2311 East Shaw at the corner of Shaw & Jackson Avenue. (Between Barton and Maple)
The Pantry was launched in November of 2007 by Lutheran Campus Ministry and a group of concerned students and staff from Fresno State. Hundreds of food-insecure families benefit from the pantry. In addition to feeding the hungry, the pantry has the unique opportunity to serve as a place for students to have hands-on experience with community engagement and to develop leadership skills.
There are many ways that you can help, including food collections, fundraising events, and monetary donations. Most of the food we give out is purchased from the Community Food Bank, and we spend $300-400 on a typical distribution.
The pantry relies 100% on the help of volunteers and donors to keep our doors open. Most of our volunteers are students at Fresno State, but anyone can help.
