SEAC
The Student Equity Advisory Council (SEAC) will provide space for currently enrolled students to meet regularly with the University Diversity Officer (UDO) to recommend initiatives and share concerns that they feel should be prioritized by leadership. A minimum of 16 student members but shall not more than 25 members will form the SEAC.
VISION
The Student Equity Advisory Council (SEAC) will provide space for students to recommend initiatives and share concerns that they feel should be prioritized by leadership. We believe that it is imperative for Fresno State Associated Students, Incorporated (ASI) to be a co-collaborator during the establishment, and the ongoing implementation, of the SEAC. Through this partnership, the Division hopes to identify a minimum of 16 student members but not more than 25 members will form the SEAC.
The SEAC will meet with the UDO monthly during the Fall and Spring semesters (except for the months of August, December, January, and May) to provide insight into the student experience, review relevant data, and contribute to the development of the Division’s strategic plan. As the Division continues to grow, the SEAC will have a key role in the development of a campus-wide signature event. The SEAC will be chaired by the University Diversity Officer and the ASI Senator of DEI. The Senator of DEI and the UDO will meet monthly to discuss the progression of the SEAC and relevant ASI initiatives.
