Good news!
Beginning with Open Registration on Tuesday, December 18, the 16 unit limitation will be lifted for all undergraduate students!
The 16 unit enrollment limit will automatically be reset for all undergraduate students to either 18, 19 or 22 units based on your current overall GPA:
Less than 2.50: 18 units (unless on contract)
2.50 – 2.99: 19 units
3.00 and greater: 22 units
Therefore, beginning on Tuesday, December 18, the 16 unit limit has been lifted and your enrollment limit will be reset according to your GPA. If you need to enroll in more than the enrollment limit set based on your GPA, you will need to file an Excess Units petition form approved by the department of your major and then submitted to the Admissions and Records Office.
To verify the number of units you are eligible to register for beginning with Open Registration, go to your Student Center and under your Enrollment Dates, click on Open Enrollment dates and your term enrollment limits will indicate the number of units allowed.
If you have any questions, please contact the Admissions and Records Office at (559) 278-2261.
