The Times They Are a Changin’: Nobel Laureate Bob Dylan and the Beat Poets will be our last in the TED Talk inspired series given by Dr. Timothy Skeen tonight, Wed. Feb. 22, at 6:30 p.m. in the Satellite Student Union. This event is open to the campus and Fresno community.
What is Fresno State Talks?
It’s a remix of a traditional lecture series and a TEDTalk with a Fresno State twist. In its fifth year, Fresno State Talks features three faculty members in three consecutive weeks, whose lecture topics exemplify the University’s values of Discovery, Diversity, and Distinction. Each of the faculty members were nominated and selected by students.
Fresno State Talks is a student-selected lecture series featuring outstanding faculty who exemplify the University’s values of Discovery, Diversity, and Distinction. The honored faculty members deliver a lecture on a topic of expertise, interest, or experience.
Nominations are solicited from students by asking ‘What professor inspires you?”. Students are encouraged to recognize a professor that has made a difference, challenged them to think differently, or taken the time to ensure learning.
