Tomorrow kicks off the third annual Helping Hams Campaign here at Fresno State!
The campaign will begin with a ceremony located at the Rue and Gwen Gibson Farm Market where President Castro will make the first Helping Ham donation of the campaign, and will be joined by ASI President Abby Hudson to make a request to the Fresno Community for donations.
Helping Hams raises money to donate student-produced holiday hams, made right here on Fresno State’s campus by Meats Lab students, to organizations affiliated with Fresno State that provide for the hungry.
Participants will be able to assist with the purchase of a ham that will be distributed to a local family in need during this holiday season, by donating in increments of $5. For every $30 donated, or six $5 donations, one holiday ham will be purchased for a family in need.
If you’re interested in participating in this year’s Helping Ham’s campaign at the Gibson Farm Market, simply ask about donation next time you’re at a Farm Market Register and they’ll get you all set up. Donors can pay with cash, debit, credit, or by a check payable to Fresno State Farm Market. Checks can be mailed to 2385 E. Barstow Avenue, AG85, Fresno, CA 93740. All donations must be recieved and processed by or befor December 4, 2015. A tax deduction reciept wis available from the nonprofits upon request.
