2022- 2023 ASI Election Petitions Now Available
Election petitions are now available to all Fresno State students interested in representing the student body as an elected representative of their student government.
Associated Students, Inc. (ASI) has eighteen senators as well as four executive officers: President, Executive Vice President, Vice President of External Affairs, and Vice President of Finance. Senators are elected either as representatives of their academic college/school (8) or in an at-large position (10). Out of ten senators elected, one will be elected by their senate colleagues and advance to become Executive Vice President.
Petitions are available online at fresnostateasi.org/elections. Petitions must be completed by Wednesday, February 23, 2022, at 5:00 p.m.
All candidates must be enrolled and in good standing at the university, while maintaining at least a 2.0 cumulative GPA for undergraduates and a 3.0 cumulative GPA for graduate students. Candidates are also required to read the Election Code and bring their questions to a mandatory All-Candidates Meeting on Tuesday, March 1, 2022.
Candidates may begin campaigning immediately after attending the mandatory All-Candidates meeting.
Voting begins on Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at 9:00 a.m. and ends Thursday, March 24, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. More information on voting will be released via student email at a later time.
