Semester in Review

The Fall 2023 Semester was full of exciting events! Take a quick peek at only some of the fun events that happened around campus this semester.

 

Traditions Day!

August 30 Student Involvement led an event that showcased clubs and organizations while providing job opportunities as it was in collaboration with the Career Center. ASI served over 400 ears of corn to students.

 

 

Welcome Black event

Attendees at the Welcome Black event hosted by the CCGC on September 1, 2023 in the Satellite Student Union. This event welcomed Black Students back to campus with a resource fair, fun music, dancing, and visits from Black-founded sororities and fraternities.

 

 

Run for Victory

September 9th was Run to Victory! A Fresno State tradition to kick off the Football season by having first-year students run the field. ASI hosted a tailgate to kick off the fun! ASI partnered with Student Involvement to provide free tacos for students and hand out Run to Victory t-shirts for students.

 

 

National Voters Registration Week

The week of September 18th ASI tabled in the Fresno State Library to help give students the opportunity to register to vote.

 

 

 

Crop Buy-Back

Vice President of External Affairs Alvarez helped with an initiative on October 12th to provide crops to students! This initiative was in partnership with Southeast Asian Student Success, Asian Business Institute & Resource Center, Student Involvement, and the Amendola Family Student Cupboard.

 

 

Pizza with the President

On October 16th ASI President Carrillo and University President Jiménez-Sandoval handed out free pizza to Fresno State students at the President’s Booth.

 

 

 

Campus Cleanup!

Throughout the semester Executive Vice President Lisitsa worked with ASI Senators, different Campus Organizations such as SAC, Athletics, and Greek Life to have Campus Cleanup Days to help keep the campus clean for facilities and groundskeepers.

 

 

Homecoming

On October 28th ASI held a Tailgate in collaboration with Student Housing and handed out Crumble Cookies and Sandwiches.

 

 

 

Pie with the President

On November 9th ASI President Carrillo and University President Jiménez-Sandoval handed out free pie to Fresno State students at the President’s Booth.

Finals Survival Kit

December 4th through December 6th ASI Senators Guerra, Jimenez, Manzo, and Zamudio Telles passed out Finals Survival Kits to students! These kits had snacks, facial masks, stickers and more for students to have as they prepare for finals.
